Legal translation services

You are calling in a legal translation agency because you are aware that a correct translation of your contract or terms & conditions is of the utmost importance. LinQuake understands this as well, and we will guarantee the required quality by working with experienced and sworn legal translators. Of course, we will select translators with a background in the relevant field.

Why choose LinQuake legal translation services?

To be able to carry out a proper legal translation, it is necessary to have specialised knowledge of legal terminology. This means that, when translating legal texts, we only work with specialists who have a diploma in translation and can demonstrate that they know when to use the right legal terminology. This knowledge can be obtained through work experience or training. There are also sworn translators, who have to be continuously educated in order to keep their profession.

Moreover, because we work in accordance with the ISO 17100 standard for translation processes, we can ensure that your translations will be of high quality. This means that, amongst other things, we always work with two translators. The first translator is responsible for translating the text. The second translator then carries out the revision, making corrections where necessary. As an extra precaution, the project manager at LinQuake carries out a complete QA (Quality Assurance) using purpose-built software.

Sworn translations

You might need a sworn translation for the translation of official legal documents.Or rather: a certified translation, that has been made by a sworn translator. Various officials and authorities in foreign countries or the Netherlands can ask for this. This could be the case when the following documents are to be translated:

  • Notarial deeds (for example a deed of sale or a marriage certificate)
  • Chamber of Commerce extracts
  • Driving licences or passports
  • Diplomas

One of our sworn translators will carry out your sworn translation. We provide the signed translation with a declaration and a stamp from the translator. Then, the translation will be attached to a copy of the original document. Therefore, if you request a sworn translation, it would be wise to take into account the extra delivery time for delivery per mail.
